How do I add a network connection?

Modified on Tue, 8 Jul at 10:36 AM

Staying connected is essential, whether you’re using Wi-Fi at home or mobile data on the go. Here’s a simple guide to help you add a network connection to your phone.

To Connect to Wi-Fi:

Wi-Fi is a great way to access the internet without using your mobile data. Here's how to connect:

  1. Open Settings on your phone.

  2. Tap Network & Internet (or Connections, depending on your device).

  3. Select Wi-Fi and make sure it’s turned ON.

  4. Tap Add network or choose your network from the list of available options.

  5. Enter the Wi-Fi network name (SSID) and password if required.

  6. Tap Connect.

To Use Mobile Data:

Mobile data lets you access the internet when Wi-Fi isn’t available. Here’s how to enable it:

  1. Open Settings.

  2. Tap Network & Internet > Mobile Network (sometimes listed as Cellular Network).

  3. Make sure Mobile Data is toggled ON.

  4. Ensure Wi-Fi is turned OFF if you want to use only mobile data.

  5. If prompted, select your network carrier (e.g., Flex Mobile, Excess Telecom).

If you don’t see your network or if data isn’t working, double-check that your SIM card is properly inserted and activated.

 Still Not Connecting?

If you’ve followed the steps and still can’t connect:

  • Restart your phone

  • Check for Airplane Mode (make sure it’s turned off)

  • Try resetting Network Settings:
Go to Settings > System > Reset Options > Reset Wi-Fi, Mobile & Bluetooth
